Synergy Spotlight Stories: Angie Watson

"Our Newest UK Team Manager deserves Extra- Special Recognition. When asked Angie will always say it is her Amazing Team that have achieved her success. That is definitely true, but I also know that Angie supports her Team through her genuine interest in their growth and development.

I am excited for the spotlight to be on this remarkable woman, friend and now Synergy Team Manager.

Angie is one of the warmest, fun people to work with. She is thorough, smart and very genuine. I call her Synergy's Carol Vorderman - any Promotion announced Angie has worked it out, created a Presentation and shared it with everyone, whether in her Team or not! She may not have been the quickest to Team Manager, but I predict she'll move up the Titles even more rapidly over the next 5 yrs. Angie you're a very special, valued and loved member of our UK Team and I wish you continued success and of course a full recovery."  Teri Rigby (Pearl Executive)

How were you introduced to Synergy and why did you decide to build a business? I was with Nature’s Sunshine (our parent Company) for over 10 years. When the Synergy opportunity came along and I saw how good the products and Compensation plan were, I got stuck in straight away.

What is your favourite product and why? I love them all, but it has to be ProArgi-9+. It is packed with a potent array of ingredients including l-arginine, l-citrulline, and vitamin C. I personally love that it reduces tiredness and fatigue and helps maintain normal function of blood vessels.

What is a typical day for you when you are building your Synergy business? This has changed so much over the last 5 years. For the first 2 years in Synergy, I was still teaching a lot of fitness classes in the mornings and evenings, so I would spend most afternoons in the week setting up systems, following up with customers and consistently looking for distributors. When our Gut Program came out 4 years ago, I was one of the first to put a presentation together and I was doing live talks in my garden studio 3-4 times a week. I also set up a FB 21 day gut group, which took days if not weeks, but was duplicatable.

It was also important to find those 2 key people in those early days - I had Julie who I had known for over 20 years from the gym and then I met Trisha at a Gut Conference in London. As my team started to grow I spent more time on Training and doing Talks for my Team Members.

Things definitely changed during the first lockdown of 2020. I had more time to spend on Synergy business and so did my team members. We saved time on the road as everything was done digitally and we were all more proactive. It was easier to get people on talks and meetings.

In October 2020 I became ill and a few weeks later I was diagnosed with Cancer. I had Chemo and radiotherapy in December and January and had all the effects of the radiotherapy for most of February. I tried the best I could to look after my customers and help my team. I attended as many Zoom meeting as I could, which really helped me feel ‘normal’ for a short while. My team were amazing, they took on extra responsibility and really blossomed. Despite all of this I made Team Leader every month and January 2021 was my best month ever in Synergy. I have to give credit to every single person in my team for their hard work and support during this time.

I am now recovering and starting to find a new routine working daily on my business again. I am starting to exercise a little again so after a quick workout and shower I am ready to get to work usually until 3-4pm Monday to Friday. Some days this will spill over into the early evening and sometimes into the weekend when it is necessary. My main focus is supporting and training my team and looking for customers.

What would you say has been the biggest factor in your business so far? It has to be the amazing people I have met through this business who are like family. This new family have carried me through the past months. They not only took up the reins and got on with their business but they have really cared. I have had doorstep deliveries of flowers, cards, chocolates, cake, book bath salts and even organic toothpaste. There are not many businesses where you can choose the people you work with.

Has your Sponsor and upline been a support to you in building your business? Teri has always been a fantastic support right back to NSP days. During lockdown especially with numerous talks and meetings. Teri was the first person I spoke to after I got my diagnosis and I knew she would provide support and offer friendship.

The Path to Prosperity that she ran recently has really helped people who are serious about building a business.

What key activities do you regularly engage in with members of your team to grow their business? I have a Team Sheet which I work through with new team members. It covers pricing and best buy deals; we look at the website and compensation plan and discuss what talks we can do. I regularly encourage and monitor their progress so I can let them know if they are near a new pin level or achieving an incentive. We have our own whatsapp group and FB page so we can keep in touch daily, which makes a massive difference to moral.

What goals have you reached so far and which ones are you working towards at the moment? My goal for 2021 was to maintain Team Leader every month this year and qualify for my husband and myself to go to Utah. To reach Team Manager in just the 3rd month of this year has absolutely blown me away. I must learn to set my goals higher….Team Director here we come!

If you were to give one piece of advice to someone new joining Synergy what would you tell them? Use and enjoy the products. Find your key people, collaborate, and work together as you grow.
