People from all over Europe always ask me for my network marketing success secrets. My answer is simple and is always the same: duplication. How do we duplicate? Engage others daily, speak passionately, and never stop doing either of these things.

Learning how to contact and speak to people is the hardest part of this business. Once you figure out how to connect with others, everything else comes easily.

Don’t be afraid
Sharing Synergy’s opportunities with others is our main objective. If we want to change lives we must learn how to be fearless and open our mouths.

If you truly believe in what you're doing it should be easy to approach someone and say, “Hello, how are you? I want to speak with you about a beautiful project I’m working on with a special company if I can have 15-20 minutes of your time.”

The people you speak to need to feel your energy. We must recruit not just to recruit, but to build something that lasts. We must continue to do this day after day, always learning from what works and what doesn’t.

Be ready to speak up
No matter where you are—at a bar, on the train, at the gym or running errands—you must be prepared to engage someone in a conversation about Synergy. You never know, you could find the business partner you’ve been looking for today. If you don’t engage the people around you, you may miss out on a major opportunity.

I travel constantly and find myself sitting next to new faces on a daily basis. I’ll often talk to the person I sit next to on the train and tell them I’m headed to a meeting to discuss an exciting business opportunity. I give them my card and I ask if I can send a few brochures and product samples to their home and then follow up with them later. Growth in your business begins with the word, “Hello.”

Have meaningful conversations
Many of my colleagues make the mistake of beginning conversations by talking about the products. The person you have approached with your product proposition will almost always say they aren’t interested or they’re using another line of products. This is where conversations come to a dead end.

Instead, begin your conversation by explaining that a company called Synergy WorldWide has the power to change their life. Introducing the product comes later. Tell your contact that you are working on a project that can improve their life. This is a real opportunity, not just another company trying to take a handful of money from you. When you prove to them that you are in the business of helping them achieve greatness, you’ll find that they start listening more intently.

You should then ask what they want to get out of the opportunity. We need to specialize in putting ourselves in other people’s shoes. If we make a good connection with our contacts, awakening their hearts, their minds and their passions, they will join us. If we can help them pinpoint the areas of their lives that could be improved with Synergy’s opportunity, they will begin to understand Synergy WorldWide’s greater purpose—leaving a legacy.

Perhaps the most impactful thing you can share with a prospective distributor is your own success story, including what you did before joining Synergy WorldWide and what improvements have been made since then. Practice telling your story in 1-2 minutes. They’ll be more inclined to learn more if there is proof that this opportunity worked for you. Above all else, we are changing lives through financial freedom. The product is the engine that allows us to obtain financial freedom. Before selling a product, we sell a way of life with unlimited possibilities.

Never stop searching
Imagine that you’re walking down a crowded sidewalk on a busy street with your son trailing close behind. You look back and cannot find him. Do you continue walking? Of course not. You immediately begin to search for him. You do everything in your power to find him. We must work with this same determination in our Synergy businesses.

We often wander blindly in our own lives, simply trying to get through the days. Most people are letting their lives pass them by. Many people have dreams, but attaining those dreams is out of the question because they don’t have the means or resources to go after them. I make sure to tell new contacts that in order to get the things they want in life they must change themselves. I want people to dream again. We are living in a world where we do not dream and we want people to know that we have the tools to help them dream again.

At this very moment, scientists are suited up in lab coats and goggles, working hard to improve Synergy WorldWide’s product offering and product efficacy in The Hughes Center for Research and Innovation.


Efficacy is a word that is often used when discussing product formulations, and its meaning describes exactly what Synergy WorldWide’s focus is: creating products that are scientifically proven to work. An efficacious product is one that does precisely what it was intended to do, and Synergy products are intended to help you live life fully with a complete and trusted health system.

“It is one thing to say that a product works, but it’s another to say there is proof that a product works,” said Dr. Joseph Lamb, The Hughes Center’s medical director. “Because of this lab, you will be able to sit down with a business partner and tell them about our unique ingredient combinations, about how these products weren’t just created by three guys in a meeting room with a few medical books and limited funds. Our goal is to deliver valuable products and product information to as many groups as possible.”

Without testing products on human subjects, it’s impossible to know how effective the products are, which is why the Hughes Center’s clinical labs are imperative to the future development of Synergy WorldWide and its product line. The process leading up to performing a clinical trial is extensive and requires months of preparation. Take a walk through the clinical process that scientists execute as they work to prove that Synergy products are among the best in the nutritional supplement industry.

The Idea
All clinical trials begin with a lightbulb moment. When the clinical teams develop a substantial idea based on the most important nutritional and health needs of the modern world, they begin combining safe ingredients and performing self-studies. When the research team discovers a formulation that they feel confident about presenting, they meet with the independent review board composed of company executives and personnel from various company departments about whether this product makes sense from a business perspective.

The Protocol
Every clinical trial needs a clear set of directions. Questions including “Who do we recruit and test? How many subjects do we need? How old are the subjects? Are they generally healthy enough to participate? How do we instruct subjects to take the product? What information do we want to collect?” The protocol goes through several drafts and is questioned in detail by several company departments. Dozens of additional questions—“Is the study unique? Is it ethical? Is this the best subject demographic?”—are asked as these departments consider how influential the trial will be to Team Members who are looking to market the product with clinical proof. After these questions are finalized and organized into a protocol, the protocol is sent to an outside review board (IRB) for input and approval.

The Subjects
Based on the protocol’s final instructions, the clinical team begins searching for the correct group of subjects. Often, subjects are recruited within the walls of the Synergy WorldWide and Nature’s Sunshine office buildings. When a more specific group of subjects is required, the clinical team will seek the help of the marketing team to publicize the study and recruit the target demographic. When the group is selected, each participant comes into the lab for an initial meeting where the trial objective and product usage is explained and screening lab work is conducted to ensure the subject is healthy enough to participate. The subject may come back multiple times throughout the trial period to report results or once at the end of the trial period, depending on the study.

The Data
Thousands of data points are compiled over the period of a clinical trial including physical samples. A study of 20 subjects can produce more than 560 individual samples. These samples are then kept in two freezers that are large enough to store more than 45,000 samples per freezer. The samples are kept at -80° Celsius to maintain each sample’s integrity. The clinical team will use additional testing groups within Synergy and NSP’s scientific teams to evaluate the collected specimens using a number of tests. For example, a bioavailability study shows the degree and rate at which a potential product ingredient is absorbed into the human body. Measuring nitric oxide levels in the blood indicates whether or not a subject is getting proper nutrition. An Endopat is a non-invasive test to assess cardiovascular health and risk factors. These are examples of literally hundreds of test that may be performed to assess the safety and efficacy of a given product.

The Conclusion
When every specimen is analyzed, study results are compiled and evaluated for statistical significance. The clinical team must measure the new product’s impact and determine whether or not it is ready for the market. Every detail carried out in a clinical trial is in anticipation of these results.

The findings that emerge from The Hughes Center’s clinical labs have the potential to cause rapid growth in Synergy’s markets, and thanks to the knowledge of brilliant scientists, the information they can uncover is limitless. Only through the innovative research conducted at the Hughes Center can the true potential resting in Synergy’s proprietary formulations be unlocked.

Karate World Champion Gains Competitive Edge with Synergy Products

Cathy McAleer is one tough woman, both mentally and physically, and is an elite athlete in mixed martial arts. Her schedule is booked with all things karate, from training herself and other karate champions to playing crucial roles in the operations of karate businesses throughout Ireland.

She is the Founder of NIKA (Northern Ireland Karate Academy) and runs two clubs in Queens Leisure Complex Holywood and Stormont Pavilion where she helps train a number of World, European, British and Irish champions. However, neither of these responsibilities are her full-time job. She works day-to-day as a general manager of one of Northern Ireland’s Virgin Active Health Clubs. In addition to being certified in sports massage therapy, Cathy has a bachelor’s degree in sports marketing.

"Many people ask me how I fit it all in and also have the energy to compete and train,” Cathy said. “Synergy’s range of products has made a big difference."

Cathy began using the V3 System in June 2014 and found tremendous benefits after only three weeks. Her training regimen is intense and can do a lot of damage to her body, but Synergy products allow her to rain more regularly with excellent recovery. She was able to push herself to increase her runs from 3 miles to 6 miles, though she isn’t an avid runner.

All of Cathy’s associations in Ireland’s athletic scene have certainly helped her obtain an impressive customer volume by sharing Synergy products.
Cathy’s next competitive fight will be at the World Open Martial Arts Games in Geneva in September where she will compete in kickboxing.

“A goal of mine is to have two world titles in two different sports, and on September 13 that dream will hopefully come true,” Cathy said. “Each of Synergy’s products contributes to my success in different ways. Thank you so much Synergy for your world class products!”

Synergy Europe is pleased to announce Team Leader Camp hosted by Mads Østvang November 6-8, 2015, at the beautiful Albir Playa Hotel & Spa in Alicante, Spain. Our November Team Leader Camp is specifically for our Team Members in Ireland and Iceland.

This camp was created by Mads Østvang, Presidential Executive. Mads founded this semi-annual event because he believes in the power of collaboration and the importance of specialized training to help Team Leaders maximize their business.

 This camp is designed to give new Team Leaders the tools and support to achieve maximum growth and quickly advance in rank. In addition to this invaluable training, Team Leaders will also have an opportunity to collaborate with peers, celebrate their past achievements, and enjoy fabulous food and entertainment.

1. Achieve the Team Leader pin title or above for the first time before October 1, 2015 (And haven’t participate in the camp before)

Q. When will Summit 2015 officially begin?
A. The Summit will kick off with an Opening Reception on Thursday, September 3 at 20:00. The reception will be held at the Cavea at the Auditorium Parco della Musica. The first session starts at 10:00 on Friday, September 4 in the Sala Santa Cecilia in the Auditorium Parco della Musica.

Q. When will Summit 2015 end?
A. The Summit is scheduled to end at 18:00 on Saturday, September 5.

Q: Will food and drink be served at the opening reception?
A. Food will not be served. However, there will be a cash bar available for drinks; credit cards will not be accepted.

Q. When can I check in to the event?
A. Registration begins on Thursday, September 3 from 16:00-20:00 and continues on Friday, September 4 and Saturday, September 5 at 9:00.
Check-in is located on the Main Level of the Sala Santa Cecilia in the Auditorium Parco della Musica. Your nametag will be your entry into the sessions.

Q. Will translation equipment be available?
A. You can pick up your translation headset at registration. You will be required to provide your name and Synergy ID number. You will be charged a 300€ fee if you fail to return this headset at the end of the last session. The card you provided at registration will be charged.

Q. What is the dress code for the Summit?
A. Dress for most activities is business casual. For the recognition evening, many like to wear formal attire (cocktail dresses for ladies, jackets and ties for men). Formal attire is also requested at the VIP Reception.

IAM Cycling Finishes Tour de France in Top 10

Exhausted yet determined, IAM Cycling’s Mathias Frank battled downpours and slick pavement to climb his way to 8th place in the overall classification after the final push on Les Champs-Elysées in Paris. Mathias was the first Swiss rider since 1999 to earn a spot in the Top 10.  While Mathias’s ranking was the biggest victory for IAM Cycling, the team was able to take 9th place overall, which was a solid placement for this new team.

IAM Cycling Founder Michel Thétaz said: “We achieved the goal we set early on in this season, which we reiterated at the start of the race. My group of riders showed themselves to be strong and at the front often, which was topped with a fantastic 3rd place from Pantano in Gap and a 6th place in the team time trial. The guys have really applied themselves and worked hard to help Frank earn his 8th place in the overall. We will come back in 2016 with Mathias Frank to return to the Top 10, and win some stages. As our leader, Frank, has extended his contract, and we are confident that he will live up to all our expectations.”

“I have not regretted one second of every sacrifice I have made to get here,” Mathias said. “After two failed attempts, I managed to meet the challenge and finish in the top-10.  This is a great accomplishment for the whole team who was a huge help to me and believed in me. I am not about to forget these moments of emotion once I climb off my bike.”

Team Members have been battling every week since January 2015 to hold their place in the Race for Rome Top 125, and it has been a hard-fought competition. As Summit 2015 approaches, there aren’t many weeks left to claim your place in the Top 125. Click here to learn more about the promotion.

Important end-of-promotion details:
  • The final Top 125 list will be finalized at 12 a.m. (MST) on September 1. 
  • This list will then be published HERE before 11:59 p.m. (MST) on September 1.
